Innovation and creativity will be the key words of Codemotion Roma, the international conference dedicated to technology and open to all programming languages. The event will take place in Rome at the Department of Engineering of Roma Tre from 9 to 12 April.
Codemotion will be divided into 16 thematic tracks dedicated to developers, but not only: companies will be at the forefront thanks to the numerous enterprise-oriented talks.
Mobile, Web, BigData, Cloud, User Experience are just some of the topics that will be addressed during the conference. There will also be Angular JS and Dart, the new frameworks that have already conquered the code scene and new languages, both functional and object oriented.
Codemotion is organized in two days of workshops and two days of conferences for a total of about 100 talks, 75% of which are in English. “After the experience in Berlin and Madrid and in anticipation of the Tel Aviv event,” explains Chiara Russo, CEO and co-founder of Codemotion, “we felt that the Italian public was ready for a larger event: that’s why we wanted at least 50% of our speakers to be international. The presence of strategic partners such as Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Oracle, Intel, IBM, PayPal, Telecom, has allowed the realization of an event above all expectations”.
In a constantly evolving world such as that of software development, professional updating and the possibility of being able to deal with the latest technological trends is essential for a company that wants to stay at the forefront and for a professional who wants to keep up to date. In Italy alone, 3.1% of GDP is represented by the digital economy according to Assintel data, which also reveal a 160% growth in the mobile market in 2013. There are more than 400,000 job vacancies in the ICT sector in Europe, and this is expected to double by 2015. Numbers that alone are enough to explain how important it is to participate in a conference like this.
Codemotion knows the world of developers well, even the youngest, working side by side with the startups hosted by the LUISS ENLABS incubator and dedicates a special space to hi-tech startups. “It’s not so easy for a startup to get in touch with financiers or developers. Our initiative, StartupInAction, a contest aimed at high-tech startups, allows these young people to present their project and their technologies to a selected and attentive audience,” explains Mara Marzocchi, co-founder of Codemotion.
Particular attention will be paid during the event to small programmers. After the success of the courses dedicated to children, Codemotion Kids will be present in Rome to welcome aspiring developers who will take their first steps in the world of programming.
Finally, the Maker and Internet of Things area, in collaboration with Maker Faire Rome, will be a great attraction for all those who want to see educational toys and 3D printers live.
There will also be opportunities for artistic contamination and of course networking, starting with the Opening party, which will be held in the prestigious setting of the Temple of Hadrian in Rome: an excellent opportunity to meet live all the speakers and international guests who will take turns on the stage of Codemotion Rome.
